Citi Health Training Center is licensed by the New York State Education Department , Albany, NY

 

Citi Health Training Center provides participants access to highly specialized training in the areas of Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, and Personal Care Assistant. Additional classes include CPR training. You can count on us to assist you with job placement and retraining as needed.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

  1. Completed application for admission.
  2. High School Diploma or GED ( or an entrance exam is required).
  3. One (1) Picture Identification.
  4. One Government Issued ID.
  5. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  6. * Medical examination completed within the last year ( including blood work and lab results. Please make sure Doctor's signature, date, and stamp is on the form)
  7. Chemical Screening.

PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT

This course is designed to prepare students to function safely as a Personal Care Assistant in the home care setting. Emphasis will be on caring, safety, the rights and dignity of human beings throughout their life, and the responsibility of each worker to provide these services. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate.

COURSE GOAL:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to carry out personal care services in the home.
THE SELECTION OF STUDENTS IS BASED ON PAST ACADEMIC RECORD AND HEALTH STATUS WITHOUT REGARD TO RACE, SEX, AGE, NATIONAL ORIGIN, RELIGION, MARITAL STATUS, OR POLITICAL AFFILIATION.
  • Demonstrate key employability skills and acceptable work ethics in order to seek and maintain employment.

HOME HEALTH AIDE

This course is designed to teach the theory and provide hands on experience off the skills needed to assist clients in meeting personal care needs. Students will be trained to work in home care settings and other health care and nursing facilities. Students will study infection control, body mechanis, oral care, skin care, lifting and transferring techniques and devices, and much more. During the program students will also be instructed in self care to promote personal well being and job satisfaction. At the completion of the program students will receive their certificate and be prepared to work upon meeting all CHTC requirements.

  • Demonstrate key employability skills and acceptable work ethics in order to seek and maintain employment.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

This course offers a basic study of principles and procedures used by nurse's assistant in long term care, home health settings and hospitals. The focus is on basic human needs and care of the elderly. Intergration of skills and concepts is aquired through hands on clinical experience at a local health care facility.

COURSE GOAL:

  • Introduce participants to an appropriate work ethic and respect for work rules and expectations within the healthcare industry.
  • Deliver competency based instruction to prepare for the State Competency Examination.
